Kelly Donegan: 'People are FINALLY getting to know the real me – and it's nothing like Tallafornia'

Kelly Donegan has revealed she would never do another reality TV show again because the genre doesn’t “suit Ireland”.

The Tallafornia star is relieved that people are beginning to know her “more as a person” than for her stint on the TV3 series.

She told Goss.ie: “People have this perception of people that are on reality TV, that they’re a certain type of person.

“It’s been a pretty exciting year for me, people are starting to get to know me more as a person than what they thought I was. I have some really big projects coming up next year as well, it’s going to be my best year yet.”

She added: “A lot of people don’t know that I did graphic design in college, I’m really arty. People weren’t really aware of that.”

But despite the fact she would never return to trashy TV, the Dubliner does not regret her Tallafornia roots.

“I suppose doing reality TV for me didn’t really suit” Kelly admitted. “The show was fine, it was a bit of fun. I would never regret anything, it gave me a big platform to help women, motivate them to be healthy.”

“I see myself more as a coach than someone who was on reality TV. I would never go and do it again. I just don’t know if that type of show suits Ireland.”

And Kelly also believes that reality show Infectious starring fellow Tallafornians Nikita Murray, Marc O’Neill and Phil Penny is not something she is interested in.

“I don’t really have a comment on it. What can I say?”

Goss.ie previously revealed TV3 will not be buying the trashy series as bosses believe the country is over ‘tacky reality’.
