Kathryn Thomas has revealed that she would never leave RTÉ for TV3.

The former Voice of Ireland host, who recently revealed that she will not be fronting RTÉ’s Dancing With The Stars – admitted that she’d never leave the state broadcaster because she feels part of the family.

The 37-year-old is gearing up to front RTÉ’s Celebrity Operation Transformation, which will feature Elaine Crowley, Katherine Lynch, Gerald Kean, Karl Spain and Brenda Donohue, and Kathryn admitted that the celebrities won’t be getting any special treatment.

“It wouldn’t do our team or the people taking part any good if Celebrity Operation Transformation was seen going easy on them.

“Each of our celebs taking part has signed up with the goal of losing a particular amount of weight. They all want to get a handle on their weight and the fact they’re going with something like this in the full public eye is admirable.”

Moving on: Kathryn wasn’t surprised by Voice axing

Speaking about The Voice of Ireland being axed, Kathryn admitted that she wasn’t surprised by the decision.

“I knew this decision was coming from RTE. From my own perspective, a change is as good as a rest.

“Whether it’s No Frontiers or Winning Streak or The Voice, everything comes to an end.”

“From RTE’s side, they have to try new things. I’m a freelancer, this is the gig and this is what happens,” she added.
