IFTAs! Love/Hate actors reveal: 'We're sad that the series is finished for good'

It made them household names now stars of the RTE crime drama Love/Hate have admitted their sorrow that the hit series is over

Walking the IFTAs red carpet, Tom Lawlor-Vaughan and Peter Coonan shared both their excitement and sadness attending the event for the last time with the show.

“It can be a nerve-wrecking night just turning up even when your not nominated,” Tom told Goss.ie.

“But there’s more to enjoy because it’s the last of Love/Hate for the lot of us”.

Speaking to Goss.ie, Peter Coonan said it was “great” for the show to get nominated and is hoping they’ll have something to celebrate.

“Looking forward to catching up with the cast – it’s nice to just put on the gladrags,” Peter shared.

“It’s great to get nominated, great to get the recognition that the show deserves so hopefully we’ll be celebrating”.

“It’s kind of sad that we’re finished but it’s also lovely that we can look back on such highs and something that we did so well and happened at such a perfect time,” he smiled.

However, the 31-year-old actor added that this might not be the end of Love/Hate forever.

“Never say never, you never know what happens in Stuart Carolan’s mind,” he laughed.
