Is a Hollywood star set to stand in for Ant McPartlin on the Saturday Night Takeaway final?

Declan Donnelly is missing his telly co-host - after he entered rehab for a second time

A number of Hollywood stars are reportedly being lined up to stand in for Ant McPartlin during the final episode of Saturday Night Takeaway.

According to the Daily Star, big names like Bruce Willis and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson are in talks to join Declan Donnelly for the finale on April 7, which will take place in Orlando, Florida.

The news comes as Dec prepares to host the show alone for the first time ever this weekend, as Ant has entered rehab for the second time following his drink-driving arrest.

Rumours were rife that James Corden was in talks to co-host the finale alongside Dec, however, a rep has since denied the claims.

A source told the Daily Star, “Dec has got a big job on his hands fronting a live show from the States all on his own.”

“Although he will have fellow show stars Scarlett Moffatt and Stephen Mulhern there to assist, the producers want to add some sparkle with some big Tinseltown names. We’re confident everyone will jump on board as it’s such a popular family show.”

Last year’s SNT final was filmed at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, and Ant and Dec were joined by special guests including Christina Ricci, CeeLo Green and Cat Deeley.

It’s been a manic week for Dec, as the TV presenter has confirmed that his wife Ali is expecting their first child.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Dec posted a black and white photo from his 2015 wedding to Ali, and wrote, “Just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely messages.”

“The news has sneaked out a little earlier than we had hoped but Ali and I are delighted to be expecting our first child. Thanks for all the love, we really appreciate it.”

Since Dec’s baby news was revealed, it’s been reported that the announcement was “bittersweet” for his best pal Ant, who split from his wife Lisa Armstrong earlier this year after 11 years of marriage.
