Graham Norton has admitted that he thinks Channel 4 now looks a bit stupid after taking over BBC’s Great British Bake Off.
News that the baking show was to move from BBC to Channel 4 broke a few weeks ago and there was a public spat over the move.
“It’s very sad for everybody; Love Productions is looking bad, Channel 4 looks a bit stupid, for everyone else it’s collateral damage,” he said.

Graham revealed that that no matter how good Channel 4 can make the show, it won’t be as good as it was on the BBC.
“Bake Off was about the four presenters and there’s an alchemy which will be very hard to replicate,” he told The Telegraph.
“No matter how good it is on Channel 4, it will never be as good as it was on the BBC: even if all four had gone, somehow it would have been sullied.
“But in the end it’s a show about cakes and we’ll all get on with our lives.”
