Father Ted star Pauline McLynn has revealed she crushed her ribs – after her dog pushed her off the stairs.
The TV actress – who is renowned for falling off a window ledge as Mrs Doyle – is now back at work at EastEnders.
“I’m fine now, other than being a bit bruised and winded. What happened was I got tangled up with the London doggie, Olive McLynn, and fell off the kitchen stairs,” she told the Irish Sun.

“There is no bannisters on it, but am fine, have been already working today so it’s not serious. More embarrassing than anything else.
“My dad Padraig would have laughed though because I was very awkward as a child. I would fall over my own shadow, and he called me Awkward Annie as a result — seems like I never lost it.”
