EXCLUSIVE: Mrs Brown's Boys star Rory Cowan vows he will NEVER do a reality TV show like Jenny

Mrs Brown’s Boys actor Rory Cowan has insisted he will NEVER follow co-star Jenny Gibney by jumping on a reality show.

The TV star told Goss.ie that he will be heading over to London to support his fellow cast mate Jenny Gibney during her run on Strictly Come Dancing.

But Rory – who plays Mrs Brown’s gay son – has pledged to never follow in her footsteps by doing Strictly or I’m A Celebrity.

He said: “I think Jenny being in Strictly is fabulous, I’m going over to London to see her, I couldn’t not go and support her. It’s something she’s always wanted to do.

“When Mrs Brown’s Boys started on telly we were thinking we’d be asked to do everything, and what show’s we would do and I said nothing, I’ve no interest in doing the jungle or anything like that.”

Speaking at the launch of the Childline Cheerios Breakfast Together Week, Rory said he was glad Jenny has been paired with Irish dancer Tristan McManus.

“Jenny always said she’d love to do Strictly. She always wanted to learn those dances and the longer she stays in the more dances she’ll learn,” he said.

“I just hope she does well and I’d say she will because she’s going in with the right attitude. She wants to learn a skill and she’s going to enjoy herself.”

Rory joined Today FM stars Mairead Farrell and Ian Dempsey as they launch the Cheerios Childline Breakfast Together Week.

Last year’s event raised over €160,000 for the service.
