EXCLUSIVE: Baz Ashmawy's kids are begging him to put them to on TV and make them the new Kardashians

TV star Baz Ashmawy has revealed his kids are begging him to put them on television.

The Sky One presenter – who is set to host new game show The Fanatics – said they even wanted a family reality show but he told them no.

It would have come after his mum Nancy, 70, starred with him on summer hit 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy.

He has two kids, Hannah and Mahy, with partner Tanja Evans – and is stepdad to her four children from a previous relationship.

But asked would he like a family reality series, Baz told Goss.ie: “It’s been bounced at me, but no I don’t think so.

“The thing about it is my mum is a completely developed person and as soon as she was finished skydiving and swimming with sharks she came home and went back to normal.

“And you’ve to be careful with younger kids… They pitch me shows, I kid you not, they come in and pitch me shows at the moment.

“Cos they think Baz is our way to get onto telly. And I’m like, ‘Why do you want to be on telly?’ ‘Just to be on telly.’ They just want fame now.

“Some of the pitches have been brilliant, I tell you, better then the s**t I’ve peddling but of them have been great but it’s not the right time, I wouldn’t.”

However Baz is looking forward to his new show The Fanatics, which sees ordinary people winning through their obsession with special subjects.

He added: “I only want to do telly that I’d watch and I think if you stick to it then you can stand by the shows you make then if somebody goes they didn’t like it at least you can say I liked it.

“You see I like weird people, I like people that are obsessed, I like people that are a little bit off centre cos I’m a little bit like that.

“And they are more interesting to me then someone who’s like me, a TV presenter or a traveller or whatever. I’m more interested with people who aren’t like me.

“So they were brilliant the contestants are amazing and they make the show. It’s all about them.”

And Baz told Goss.ie he’s already been learning from the contestants.

He said: “I met this lovely girl who was fanatically about chocolate. What girl isn’t a chocolate fanatic?

“And then they start going into it and explaining it to you about how Ecuadorian cocoa beans are the best and this is the best chocolate.

“Now I’ve noticed. I was in Paris recently and I was picking chocolates for my missus getting really arsey about my chocolate. It’s something I now have a little bit of a penchant for expensive chocolates.”
