Eve Hewson has massive success in US – as TWO million tune in for TV debut

U2 star Bono’s daughter Eve Hewson has broken America – after almost two million people watched her new show.

The Dubliner plays a nurse in hospital drama The Knick, which was watched by 1.7 million viewers in the US.

Oscar-winning director Stephen Soderberg’s series was screened by HBO sister channel Cinemax, with the 23-year-old getting rave reviews.

Acclaimed magazine Vanity Fair called Eve one of the “standouts” from the “terrific ensemble” that make up the cast.

And Eve recently admitted that her parents – Bono and Eve Hewson – can’t wait to watch the show when it’s screened in Ireland by Sky.

She said “They’re just desperate to see the show. They want to see the show.

“And they’re so upset because they’re going to be in Ireland and I don’t think it’s coming out in Ireland until September.”

Already Eve has signed up for a second series of the show, which will be filmed in New York.

Last week, Goss.ie told how Eve was left shocked when one of her first scene was injecting liquid cocaine into Clive Owen’s manhood.

She has also become the most searched for Irish actress online, it emerged.
