Dumped Islander reveals he had a ‘massive connection’ with Amber that was never shown on TV

We're sure Amber seriously regrets not coupling up with him now...

Dumped Islander Dennon Lewis has revealed that he had a “massive connection” with Amber Gill – but it was never shown on Love Island.

The 22-year-old was dumped from the Island earlier this week after he failed to couple up with anyone in Casa Amor.

During his time on the show, the footballer got to know Irish girl Maura Higgins, however, Dennon has admitted that he had a particularly special bond with Amber.

Speaking to The Sun Online, he said: “I do love Amber. We had a massive connection in the villa. If it wasn’t for Michael we would have coupled up together.”

“Amber came straight up to hug me when I was leaving the villa. She was the first person. What you didn’t see was all the talks we had together, and we had a little dance.”

Although Amber seemed to grow close to Dennon, she chose to stay loyal to Michael Griffiths – but when she returned to the villa, she found out that he had recoupled with new girl Joanna Chimonides.

Dennon continued: “I respect her so much and I’m going to see her again when she gets out. Definitely hope to swap numbers at the wrap party.

“I don’t want to see Michael again because of what he’s done to her. My jaw dropped I was shocked.”

During his chat, Dennon also sparked concern about Maura and Marvin’s relationship.

He said: “Marvin was the biggest game player. He went for Maura so he could get in the villa. He liked Anna originally but couldn’t compete with Ovie because he’s a really good looking guy.”

“He was doing whatever it takes. He doesn’t feel genuine towards Maura. I think it depends on how it pans out whether she’ll realise that.”

Fellow dumped Islander Stevie added: “I think Marvin changed strategy half way through. I didn’t think he liked Maura.”

“I think he realised this was a way for him to get in. He’s a lovely bloke but I definitely saw a change in direction.”

Either way, it looks like Maura has her eye on someone else in the villa now…
