Roisin Lyons has revealed her secret plan to win the Rose of Tralee – the help of Michael Flatley.
The Dublin Rose has been working as a dancer on the superhoofer’s latest production Heartbeat of Home for the last year.
Before that the 24-year-old also toured with Lord of the Dance – and is definitely doing a jig as her special talent from the Dome.

“I will be doing a jig as my party piece. I’m doing my own choreograph to my party piece. It’s a little bit of a surprise,” she said.
“About a year ago I joined Heartbeat of Home. It’s a new production by the producers of Riverdance and now in the Autumn, I go off and dance with Riverdance.
“It’s absolutely amazing to be a part of the team. I’ve been a professional Irish dancer for the last four years so I’ve been touring all over the world.

“I did start with Lord of the Dance. I danced with them for two and a half years. It’s such a huge opportunity. I travel all over the world to places that I would’ve never have dreamed up.”
And Roisin said that Flatley gives her “huge courage” and feels proud to work with him.
“He’s amazing. He gives you huge courage,” she said. “He’s such an enthusiastic person and he is a huge influence.

“And I think that it is absolutely fantastic for me to dance as an Irish dancer with Michael.
“It is a dream come true as well. I did perform with him for seven weeks on his return tour in 2010.”
