Dr Eva Orsmond hits out at Dancing With The Stars producers

Dr Eva Orsmond is REALLY not happy with Dancing With The Stars producers.

The weight loss expert, best known for appearing on Operation Transformation, has revealed that she clashed with show bosses over her introductory video – as they used a clip of her arguing with OT contestant Charlotte O’Connell from four years ago.

“I was very annoyed that they put that Charlotte episode in the tape. That was four years ago and I’ve done a lot of good work on shows like Sugar Crash and Medication Nation, which is coming up.

“Why not talk about the important work I’ve done in fighting diabetes? That really bothered me. There are so many other things. It would be nice to have more focus on the positive things,” she told the Irish Sun.

However, DWTS producer Larry Bass has defended the video.

“I’m sure Teresa Mannion wished we hadn’t used the video of her reporting from Salthill in the middle of Storm Desmond on the first episode of Dancing With The Stars too.

“But it’s all about putting our personalities in context. The public and our judges only mark them when they get out on the dance floor,” he said.

The 50-year-old TV star also stressed how much she hates donning fake hair, nails and tan for the show.

“Anyone who looks at the publicity pictures can spot I have fake hair pieces in. My hair doesn’t suddenly grow that long. Maybe I’m getting myself into trouble saying that, but I won’t use hair extensions in any of my dances either.

Not impressed: Dr Eva doesn’t like the fake hair, nails and tan that come with DWTS | RTE

“That’s just me and how I am. I’m not judging people. I don’t do fake hair, fake nails or the tan but I do use make-up. I like the girlie stuff.”

However, Larry Bass has insisted that the fake hair, nails and tan is all apart of the show’s appeal.

“We understand completely if Dr Eva isn’t comfortable using hair extensions. Another of our most talented dancers, Aidan O’Mahony, is a serving member of An Gardai Siochana.

“What must it be like for him appearing in Dancing With The Stars each week? But we have many performers from all sorts of different backgrounds and that’s what gives us such a hit show,” he added.
