Des Bishop has claimed that Dancing With The Stars is a ‘parochial’ competition.
The comedian was booted off the show this weekend despite receiving the third highest score in the show.
“It’s not even a personality competition – it’s parochial,” he said, adding that he is “parishless.”

The 41-year-old revealed that Dancing With The Stars allows people to text a “gazillion” times for their favourite to win.
“It’s local people campaigning in their local areas. Some people have Irish dancers – that’s an advantage, is what it is,” he told Ryan Tubridy on his RTE Radio 1 show.
“It’s a texting-a-gazillion-times competition and it gets odd with the multiple votes – who has the most cousins.
“Donald Trump is the President of the United States – sometimes you can’t trust the public.”

Des continued that it can be a curse to think you’re safe in the show.
“People enjoy the show the way they want to and sometimes it’s a curse to be in a position where you think you are safe.
“I see some of these pictures of me with a cape and it’s like a fantasy. And the vote-off and the drama was super intense.
“It was great. I’m happy with the whole thing – I think we did a good job. It is weird the way you end up going out,” he added.
After his elimination, Des made some shocking comments to Goss.ie.
