Dáithí Ó Sé has defended the Rose of Tralee.
The RTE star, who presents the infamous pageant every year in Kerry, said people should be supporting the content as it works to celebrate women all over the world.

“The Rose Of Tralee to me is the celebration of Irish women and when is a celebration of Irish women out of date – never,” he said.
Speaking on Saturday Night With Miriam, Dáithí said the contest brings people together.
“It’s the biggest single thing that ties the Irish diaspora and the Irish community here at home together.”
