The Dubliner will be presenting The Fanatics for Sky 1 – which sees the world’s biggest fans taking on each other.

Sky 1 say the show “celebrates the most passionate, utterly obsessed and fantastically devoted people” by pitting them against each other to win the series.

And former RTE star Baz admitted he “can’t wait” for his new role as a game show host with the channel.

He said: “I love the vision that Sky and the production team at Victory have for the show.

“It’s a quirky fun show with wonderfully warm, interesting and slightly obsessive contestants. It’s going to be a lot of fun to make. I can’t wait!”

The new series will be on Sky 1 towards the start of next year for eight episodes.

It comes after Israeli TV brought 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy, netting Baz a pile of cash.

He also told Goss.ie that he hopes to make a second season of the show with his mum Nancy.
