Amanda Byram ‘in talks’ with RTÉ and TV3

Amanda Byram has revealed that she hopes to return to Irish television, as she admitted that she’s “been talking to RTE and TV3”.

The 43-year-old, who is set to host the IFTAs this Friday, has also set her sights on RTÉ’s Dancing With The Stars – but she’s only interested in hosting.

“I have been talking to RTE and TV3 about certain projects. I would never turn my back on Irish television – I am always pitching stuff,” she told the Herald.

Plenty of stars have been rumoured to host RTÉ’s version of Strictly Come Dancing, which is due to air in January.

“Possibly [I could host it], yeah. I have not been spoken to about it yet but I love the show – I watch it in the UK. Who knows?”

The presenter wed her partner Julian Okines in April of this year, and admitted that she’s loving married life – although it doesn’t feel much different.

“It’s amazing, it’s brilliant. We’re a team and we feel like we have taken it to the next level.

“It doesn’t feel different but it feels better. You feel that sense of security. You’re on the same path and you’re together,” she added.
