This season will be the last ever series of RTE drama Love/Hate.
The award winning series is set to come to an end, with the first episode of the last season starting tonight.
Tonight will be the first of the last six episodes, which will show the gangland show “come full circle” from here it all began.
No more: Love/Hate is coming to an end
According to the Irish Sun senior sources at RTE have revealed this will be the end.
“The show has now come full circle and Stuart has penned a grand finale,” a source said.
“All of the actors realise that he’s a brilliant writer and recognise the show couldn’t go on without him.”
” The story, which started from the first season, has now come to a conclusion and that’s why it will be the end.”
Tonight’s episode: Nidge is backed into a corner
Even though fans of the show will be gutted to hear the series has ended, TV insiders have said this season will be explosive.
“The show is going to be explosive with shootings, chases and fantastic storylines.”
“Stuart wants to end on a high and the series will reach a dramatic climax,” an insider revealed.
Not happy: Nidge is tracked down
Meanwhile RTE have released images of Love/Hate’s highly anticipated return tonight.
King Nidge is left in a sticky situation when he gets surrounded outside his house.
This will kick start Nidge’s move to Spain, which will be aired this season.
