TV3 star Aisling O’Loughlin has revealed her cancer-battling partner won’t get the all clear for five years.
The Xpose presenter was delighted when Nick McInnes was allowed home after undergoing chemotherapy since earlier this year.
But Aisling admitted that doctors have said it’s too early to fully celebrate just yet.
No celebrations: Aisling’s partner must wait five years for all clear
“We had our first outing since he’s been out of hospital to the Curragh racecourse over the weekend and it was just gorgeous,” she said.
“He went nuts and it was a really pleasant day, I was delighted for him. It will be five years really until he has the all-clear, but he responded to treatment well.”

Meanwhile Aisling has revealed she can’t wait for Xpose co-star Karen Koster to give birth – but won’t be giving out advice.
“It’s great there’ll be another mum in Ballymount, but there’s nothing like over advising someone — everyone’s experience is different,” she told the Herald.
“It’s a vulnerable time too though and you need protection and to be mind- ed, so she’ll have all that from us.
“If she wants advice I’ll give it to her, but I won’t be dishing it out by any means.”
