The X Factor‘s Brendan Murray and Dalton Harris have opened up about their relationship rumours.
The pair were rumoured to be in a relationship after they shared an image of themselves hugging and were viciously trolled online.
“I think things can be taken the wrong way…out of context. People just presume.. ‘oh look they are together,'” Brendan told The Sun.
“But I don’t think they believe that. They just think it’s a fun thing to do. The thing is where I’m from there’s a lot of toxic masculinity. I’m me and He’s him. I don’t know why we always sexualise everything. It is what it is, and we still are what we are,” Dalton added.
“If I didn’t know myself I would have been broken today by all the ignorance! I would have actually believed what you thought of me, good thing I know exactly who I am and I am far from broken… You cannot touch me mentally or in any other way. So believe me when I say I am not phased,” wrote on social media, after he was forced to hit out at online trolls.
The Jamaican singer was put through to The X Factor final last night, after Brendan was voted out of the competition on Saturday.
