The world’s youngest self-made billionaire has been named, and he’s an Irish entrepreneur named John Collison.
The 26-year-old Limerick man and his brother Patrick co-founded Stripe, an online payment processing service.
Forbes estimates the savvy siblings are each worth around €1.02 billion after their firm raised around €8.57 billion in 2016.

The Forbes website said of John: “He and his brother Patrick joined the three comma club when Stripe, the payments start-up they cofounded, raised funding at a $9.2 billion valuation in November.”
The list of 2,043 billionaires includes several other Irish personalities.
The wealthiest is Irish-Indian building magnate Pallonji Mistry who came in 77th place, worth around €13.3 billion. Private equity investor John Grayken clinched 215th place, with a €6.15 billion pile.
Media mogul Denis O’Brien in 348th place is worth €4.38 billion while Campbell Soup heir John Dorrance’s €2.56 billion saw him on 745th spot.
