Jake Carter and Karen Byrne have been crowned as the winner of the second series of Dancing With The Stars.
Anna Geary, Deirdre O’Kane and Jake Carter all fought for the glitter-ball trophy performing three dances each on the night, two of their favourites from the series and a new one.
Anna and Kai scored 28, 30 and 30 totaling 88 points tying with Jake and Karen who scored 30, 28 and 30.

Karen got emotional after the pair’s final dance to Mad World by Hardwell feat Jake Reese.
The judges lauded their showdance saying “people say dancers are mad… they are not they are addicted… and Jake you are addicted ….it was fierce and fabulous.”
Both Jake and Karen were in tears after the win as he jokingly apologised to everyone who had to see him with his topless again.

Deirdre, who celebrated her 50th birthday on the show, scored 29, 29 and 27 totaling 85 with her partner John Nolan.

Their first dance was a ballroom routine to The Sign of The Times by Harry Styles after which Jake said “The last three months has been the best experience of my life.”
The second dance they wowed us with was energetic jive to Rock Around the Clock to Billy Haley and His Comets.
Judge Brian said “your jive was fun and full of flicks… it was fantastic!”, while Judge Julian packed a final punch of alliteration saying “That was a Jaketastic jumping jive!”

The twelve contestants will enjoy one more ‘Marty Party’ tonight before it’s back to reality.
The spectacular production was made by Shinawil for RTÉ and filmed in Ardmore Studios in Bray and has been commissioned for a third series.
