The first band has been announced to perform at the 2FM Xmas Busk next Friday.
Wild Youth will be taking to the streets of Galway to perform a live busking session in support of a yet to be named charity.
The band are just one of many who have yet to be announced.
Speaking on the 2FM Breakfast Show, presenter Eoghan McDermott revealed that the busk will be taking place in the city’s shop street area.
“All we can say is the shop street area around the 5-6pm mark,” he said.
“We’re going to be there collecting for a charity. We have roped in a few other bands.”
Dublin four-piece Wild Youth are having a break out year, with huge hits such as Making Me Dance and Drinking About You.
More acts will be announced for the busk over the next few days.
The busk will take place in Galway City on Friday the 13th of December.
