Actress Saoirse Ronan has revealed she really wants to work with Irish director Lenny Abrahamson.
The Oscar nominee admitted that although she has her pick of Hollywood directors, Lenny is top of her list.
“I would love to work with Lenny Abrahamson. He just did Frank and he’s made some of
the best Irish films, including my favourite, Adam & Paul,” she said.
“I like it when Irish filmmakers’ work is unrelated to Ireland.
Director: Lenny with Michael Fassbender and Domhnall Gleeson | PATRICK O’LEARY
The Atonement star would be in good hands, as Lenny recently directed Frank, starring Hollywood A-lister Michael Fassbender.
Star Wars actor Domhnall Gleeson also starred in the film alongside Maggie Gyllenhaal.
Lenny’s star has been on the rise since releasing Adam & Paul and Garage, but it was his movie What Richard Did that started creating a media buzz, with a stellar performance from Jack Reynor.

Meanwhile Saoirse said she isn’t driven by money when it comes to picking movie roles.
“I’ve done a couple of biggish movies, but it was never down to exposure or money.”
“I remember there was a toss-up between a big action film and Atonement, but I knew what I
wanted to do,” she told Wonderland magazine.
“People make different decisions regarding their work, for different reasons. I keep it as simple as I can.”
