Mark Feehily has opened up about his feelings on parenting ahead of becomming a father for the first time.
The Westlife singer shared back in May of this year that he and fiance Cailean O’Neill are expecting their first child.
Speaking to Dermot Whelan and Dave Moore on Today FM, he opened up about the surrogacy process.
“Because we’re doing it through surrogacy, it takes a good three or four years of research and the whole process so it’s not like it just happened over night.”
“I’m ready for it. I’m ready for whatever it brings.”
Touching on his experiences with kids, he revealed that many of his close friends and family have started their families already.
“Luckily the lads have three kids each and one of my best friends has three kids… my brother has a child, my godchild, so it’s not the first kid that I’ve been around,” he said of his Westlife band mates.
The couple announced their big baby news ion May, on Mark’s birthday.
“It really makes this my most special birthday EVER to let everyone know that later this year we will become Dads for the first time,” he said via social media.
Westlife have just announced a brand new tour date for 2020.
