WATCH: Post Malone sings an Irish folk song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Post Malone and Jimmy Fallon gave their best attempts at an Irish song on the comedian’s latest episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The 24-year-old rapper joined the late night host in a rendition of an old Irish folk song – a departure from his usual rap sound.

The duo performed a cover of Seven Drunken Nights, drinking pints as they did so.

The song is originally by The Dubliners, and was released in 1967.

Post Malone and Jimmy both attempted to do Irish accents during the song.

Irish fans of the rapper have taken to the comments section to praise the Sunflower singer for sharing Irish music on such a huge platform.

“Irish music getting represented,” one commented under the video.

“Can we have a full on Irish folk album with Jimmy and Posty?” said another.

The rapper also gave a preview of his new single Circles on the show.

On episode 30 of the Gosscast, Goss Media Founder Ali Ryan sits down with Goss.ie Editor Kendra Becker to wrap up all things Love Island – plus Ali and Kendra chat through this week’s biggest stories.
