WATCH: George Clooney opens up about his trip to Ireland – and spending Easter Sunday with Bono

The actor, his wife Amal, and their two kids were in Ireland last month

George Clooney has opened up about his recent trip to Ireland, and spending Easter Sunday with U2 frontman Bono.

The 58-year-old recently spent Easter in Ireland with his wife Amal and their twins Ella and Alexander, and the actor caught up with some distant relatives while they were here.

The actor met with his relatives at the five star Ballyfin House, and joked that they “spent the afternoon trying to understand what they were saying.”

Although he couldn’t understand their accents, he admitted that he felt a “weird connection” to them.

During their trip, the Clooneys spent Easter Sunday with Bono and his family in Dublin.

“It was really a beautiful day. Ireland is spectacular,” he said.
