WATCH: Bono reveals how U2 saved his life on The Ellen Show

The frontman appeared on the show with The Edge

Bono has revealed how his U2 bandmates saved his life.

The lead singer and band mate, The Edge, appeared on The Ellen Show this week to promote their new world tour.

Ellen asked the guys what drives them crazy about each other, as they have been together for more than forty years.

“Bono never had lunch, he would borrow off of everyone,” The Edge said, before Bono added, “I was a little bit of a stray dog as a kid.”

He went on to say, “My mother died, when I was young and I was a scavenger.”

“It’s no joke for me to say that nothing drives me crazy about them in any real sense, because genuinely they saved my life.”

“I really felt as a teenager I had no reason to exist, until I met them,” he added.
