Vogue Williams speaks out about controversy following recent breastfeeding photo – ‘Let’s just support each other as parents’

Vogue Williams has spoken out about her recent breastfeeding photo and said: “Let’s just support each other as parents.”

The 33-year-old shared a snap of herself breastfeeding her five-month-old son, Theodore, on Instagram and saw some followers arguing in the comments section underneath.

Vogue took to her Insta Story this morning to speak out about the controversy, as some fans were arguing about how long to breastfeed your child for.

“I don’t like seeing the fighting under my breast feeding picture. I don’t think any mother should tell another what to do,” she wrote.

“Some people can breast feed and love it, some people can’t feed or maybe they don’t want to. Everyone is different. Let’s just support each other as parents.”

“It’s a hard enough job without us arguing about how we think things should be done…” she finished.

Vogue posted a picture breastfeeding her 5-month-old on Sunday and captioned the photo: “My first time breast feeding in public…I remember feeling so embarrassed, sweating profusely and desperately trying to hide my newly enormous nipples! I was soon calmed down by my pal and the feed went well, I would feed without a thought anywhere now!”

“I’ve dropped my daytime breast feeds and am now only doing the night and morning. I always wanted to get to about six months but I never thought I would feel this sad about stopping. Our first baby almost done with breast milk! Now to all my fellow mums, what formula are you using? Please tag below!!”

The presenter also responded to one follower in particular who wrote: “I think you should feed him until he’s 1. I don’t get the stopping at 6 months!!! It’s not enough. If you have enough milk why not carry on when it’s so beneficial for them?!”

“(T)hat’s nice that you think that but you’re not me. I feel six months is enough for us…” Vogue simply replied.
