Victoria’s Secret model Stella Maxwell opens up about her Irish roots

Stella Maxwell has opened up about her Irish roots, admitting that she “doesn’t seem” like she’s from Ireland.

The 26-year-old, who is currently dating Kristen Stewart, visits Ireland twice a year as her parents hail from Belfast.

Although the Victoria’s Secret babe was born in Brussels, she has very strong ties to Ireland thanks to her family.

“My parents are both from Belfast. I have an Irish passport and a British passport, and I go back every summer and every Christmas, and sometimes I pop over during the year to say ‘hi,’ and, of course, celebrate St Patrick’s Day,” she told the Sunday Independent.

“All my family look Irish. They act Irish. My sister even has red hair… it’s crazy. I’m the one that doesn’t seem Irish.

“None of the kids in my family, my siblings, speak with an Irish accent… we’ve never lived there full-time, we weren’t born there, we just go there once or twice a year. It’s weird. Our parents sound Irish, but we don’t.”

Stella’s family moved to Australia when she was 13, and later relocated to Wellington in New Zealand – where a model scout spotted her while she was attending Otago University.

The blonde beauty has since gone on to grace the covers of Vogue and Elle magazine, and has become a regular on the runway.
