Una Healy rules out appearing on this HUGE reality series

Una Healy has ruled out an appearance on Strictly Come Dancing.

The Saturdays star has no interest in appearing on the BBC series, despite two of her former bandmates signing up to the show in the past.

Mollie King has signed up for Strictly Come Dancing this year, while Frankie Bridge was a runner-up on the show in 2014.

“I don’t think I would ever do it. Dancing was never my strong point. I enjoyed learning the routines but it is not for me,” Una told the Irish Sun.

“Frankie nearly won it when she was on it, and Rochelle (Humes) did some charity versions of it, so it’s really just myself and Vanessa who haven’t done Strictly or the dancing, but I don’t think I would. But never say never, that’s what I say. But it is definitely not on the cards.”

The Tipperary native was part of The Saturdays for more than seven years before they went on hiatus in 2015 – but now Una is focusing on solo material, which she had prepared for before the band split.

“I have been writing for about three years now. I had a feeling the Saturdays was starting to wind down so I started working on my stuff in case. So I had songs that were ready to go when the band was still going.”

The 35-year-old also spoke about the band reuniting – and admitted that she thinks it will happen eventually.

“I reckon we will get back together in the future, when the nostalgia kicks in. I’d love it anyway, I’d hope the others would be the same.

“But it is a taboo subject whenever we meet up, we never ask each other about it. We ask about how we are now but don’t look back. But when the time is right I think it will happen. It still feels quite new and we are all doing our own thing,” she added.
