U2 to announce BIG news about their Croke Park gig

U2 are set to announce a second date at Croke Park this summer, according to reports.

The band will hit the major GAA stadium this July 22 as they celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Joshua Tree, but tickets are expected to sell out fast as they go on sale Monday at 9am.

However, according to the Irish Sun, the rockers will announce a second date on Sunday, July 23, once tickets start flying out the door.

According to a source, their already scheduled dates suggest they hope to add second dates in a tonne of destinations across Europe.

“All the European cities that have Saturday gigs by U2 — Dublin, Rome, London and Amsterdam — will all add a Sunday show.

“Barcelona and Paris, where U2 play on a Tuesday, will add a gig on Wednesday. I’d say in Berlin, where U2 play on a Wednesday, they will announce a Tuesday concert. Brussels is the only city that will have just the one show,” a source said.

Croke Park is limited to just three concerts a year, due to Dublin City Council planning regulations and an agreement with local residents.

Coldplay have already bagged a sold-out show on Saturday, July 8. So, with U2 playing on Saturday, July 22 – a third concert is available.
