Top Irish band reveal they’ve QUIT busking in Dublin

Top Irish band Keywest have revealed they have given up busking in Dublin.

The chart-toppers, who have always pledged their love for the busking scene in Ireland, have admitted new busking laws are preventing the band from performing at their best.

Taking to their official Facebook page, the band said that after spending time in London performing on the streets, they are giving up “the fight” back home in Ireland.

“With the banning of amps in Temple bar upon us and the banning of backing tracks / face painting city wide… I am at a loss,” the band wrote.

“Today I am sad to say I’m giving up that fight, it has been too taxing while also trying to focus on making music and albums.

“So thank you Dublin for the lovely memories but Keywest will officially no longer appear on your streets. You can of course still catch us at our live shows around Ireland and on streets in other countries.

“I am disappointed, angry and defeated so I would plead with you to share this message. These days social media is the most powerful voice you have,” they added/
