Today with Maura and Dáithí is set to return in September as “a longer show.”
The presenters have been hosting the show since 2012 and are reportedly set to get an extra half an hour added to their programme in autumn.
Speaking about the show to The Herald, Dáithí said: “It’s been going very, very well. Everybody’s happy with it.”
“There’s rumours that we’re starting at 3pm in September but it hasn’t been fully confirmed yet… but they like it anyway,” he revealed.
“It’s going to be a longer show, almost three hours. It’s extra work but we’re down in Cork anyway, you may as well go for it.”
The show will wrap up for the summer in the coming weeks and while Dáithí will have a short break from work, he’ll be returning to RTÉ for his Rose of Tralee hosting duties in August.
“I’m going to start my summer holidays soon and I’m really looking forward to just taking it easy. I had a meeting about the Rose of Tralee and then I was like, ‘Go away for another couple of months, please.'”
