The Top 100 Irish Stars of 2018

Every year we have listed the ‘Top 100 Digital Influencers’, but as more stars of social media become fully fledged celebrities, we have decided to change the list to the Top 100 Stars of the year.

This year we have listed the best of the best in all things showbiz from actors to sports stars and musicians to bloggers.

From celebrities making it big across the pond, to social media stars gaining a huge following in Ireland, here at Goss.ie we always support the best and brightest in the industry.

We have listed the stars who we have made the biggest impact this year, as well the newcomers on the rise.

1. Conor McGregor

Love him or hate him, Conor McGregor was definitely the most talked about Irish star of 2018.

From the bus attack that landed him in trouble to his UFC return, to the launch of his whiskey brand Proper No. Twelve, Conor went viral so many times this year.

Not only did he return to the UFC after two years to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov, he also finally launched his clothing line August McGregor, announced he is expecting his second child with Dee Devlin and landed on two separate Forbes Rich Lists.

Forbes had Conor’s earnings last year at $99 million, and that was before his huge endorsement deals this year with the likes of Reebok.

On top of growing his family and becoming one of the most talked about celebrities in the world, Conor doubled down on his luck when he launched Proper No. Twelve.

The whiskey brand already sold out in a matter of. weeks in the US and Ireland, with many believing he will make more money on the alcohol brand than with the UFC.

With a second Notorious movie in the works, and more fights lined up for 2019, it’s clear Conor isn’t going anywhere…

2. Pippa O’Connor

She has definitely become Ireland’s sweetheart, and this year was another year of success for Pippa O’Connor.

The model turned businesswoman spent most of 2018 renovating her new home with husband Brian Ormond, and documented it all on her Instagram page (which has 332k followers).

Pippa’s fashion line POCO by Pippa continued to soar in popularity and sales, launching more pop-ups than ever.

As well as teaming up with Littlewoods Ireland for the ‘Pippa Edit’, the busy mum has continued her successful masterclasses all around the country.

She also launched her new charity event, the Blossom Tree Ball, which raised over €100k for Temple Street Hospital, and she was named Most Stylish Woman at the VIP Style Awards for the second time.

With a Late Late Show appearance and a slew of magazine covers, it’s clear Pippa is still on top.

 

3. Doireann Garrihy

Doireann hosts the new series of Podge & Rodge

She was new to our list last year, and this year Doireann Garrihy continues as one of the biggest stars in the country.

She quickly became a viral sensation in 2017 thanks to her spot-on impressions of the industry’s biggest influencers, and now she is the biggest influencer of them all.

This year saw Doireann move from the small screen on her phone to our TV screens – with her show The Doireann Project airing on RTE as well as the RTE Player.

Plus the radio host won the gig of co-presenter on Podge and Rodge, following in the footsteps of Lucy Kennedy.

Throughout the year Doireann has teamed up with huge brands for a number of social media campaigns, and it’s without a doubt that she is one of the most sought-after stars of the year.

She also appeared on the Late Late Show this summer for the first time, and the news of her romance with new beau Joe  Meoldy went everywhere after she was spotted with the Clare man at Electric Picnic.

She kicked off 2018 by hosting The Gossies (of course we had to mention that), and she has ended the year with multiple magazine covers, two new RTE shows, a radio slot on Today FM and lucrative brand deals.

4. James Kavanagh

It’s been another huge year for influencer turned TV presenter James Kavanagh.

Not only did he land his highly coveted role on TV3’s after show for Ireland’s Got Talent, the former PR executive also won Cookbook of the Year, for his book with partner William Murray; Currabinny.

With two appearances on the Late Late Show and multiple magazine spreads, this year saw James turn his fun social media “bits” into a fully fledged career.

Not only is he back as co-host with Glenda Gilson for Ireland’s Got Mor Talent, but James also was cast in his first acting role this year, starring in Amy Huberman’s series Joy.

2019 will see James and William open their first Currabinny cafe, and no doubt his cat Diana will even become more famous.

5. Suzanne Jackson

It’s been another huge year for Ireland’s top blogger turned businesswoman Suzanne Jackson.

Not only did she move into a stunning new house, but she also launched her first tanning brand Dripping Gold, and expanded her beauty line.

There is no doubt that SoSu By SJ is still flying off the shelves, with a new lash line with Lauren Pope, to new beauty products with top MUA Keilidh Cashell.

She won Girl Boss of the Year at the Gossies 2018, kicking off an incredible year in business.

Since launching her blog in 2010, Suzanne is coming close to a decade in this industry, and she’s only getting more successful.

 

6. James Patrice

It has been another huge year for James Patrice, who has successfully moved from an influencer to one of Ireland’s best-known celebrities.

The Dubliner has continued to host a special online show for Dancing With The Stars with RTE and has a recurring segment on RTE’s Today show.

His social media account continues to be one of the strongest in the industry, over 97k people following his everyday life.

This year also saw James move from the small screen to the stage, with a starring role as the Genie in the Olympia Theatre’s Christmas panto Polly and the Magic Lamp.

All year James has continued to team up with huge brands in some very lucrative deals, and 2019 looks even bigger and better.

7. Vogue Williams

Vogue Williams was definitely one of the most talked about Irish celebs this year, and for all the right reasons.

In the space of 12 months, the TV star has married Spencer Matthews and welcomed her first baby boy Theodore.

Now officially apart of London High Society, Vogue and Spencer are as close as you can get to the royal family, as Spencer’s brother James is married to Pippa Middleton.

But apart from her relationship making the headlines, Vogue was back on RTE with travel show Getaways and her hugely successful documentary series Vogue Does.

8. Erin McGregor

2018 was definitely the year Erin McGregor conquered the showbiz industry.

Kicking off the year with Dancing With The Stars, the mum-of-two danced her way into the hearts of the nation.

Since her stint on the hugely popular show, Erin made a more permanent move to TV, with guest appearances on the Six O’Clock Show, RTE’s Cutting Edge, the Saturday Night Show and Podge and Rodge.

The Dubliner ended the year on a high, with her first starring role on stage.

Erin was cast as Ann Wha in the Olympia Theatre Christmas panto, alongside Jake Carter, James Patrice and Rory Cowan.

With more TV projects in the pipeline, 2019 looks like another huge year for Erin.

This was another huge year for Athy band Picture This.

Not only did they headline their first stadium gig at Dublin’s RDS, they also sold out all of their 3 Arena dates for 2019.

And just before Christmas it was revealed the band were the most streamed Irish artist in the charts.

With a new album coming out and their sell-out gigs in March, 2019 is set to be another huge year for the band.

10. Marissa Carter

Top Irish Girl Boss Marissa Carter really outdid herself this year.

As well as continuing to take over with her tanning brand Cocoa Brown, the mum-of-two also launched her debut makeup line in 2018.

After a year of putting the brand together, Marissa launched Carter Beauty Cosmetics, flying off the shelves immediately.

The brand is already starting to go international, landed in Penneys and has become is a favourite of top Irish bloggers.

Caret Beauty already featured in the highly coveted goodie bag of Makeup By Ariel’s Masterclass, and knowing Marissa the brand will literally be everywhere in 2019.

11. Barry Keoghan

He’s been climbing the ladder in Hollywood rapidly, and this year was an even bigger year for actor Barry Keoghan.

The Dublin star kicked off the year with a special award at the Oscar Wilde party held in JJ Abrams’ LA office during Oscars week.

The actor was given an emotional introduction by his Killing Of A Sacred Deer co-star Colin Farrell.

He also randomly became quite close to Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Joe Alwyn, when he and girlfriend Shona Guerin sat with them at the after party of The Favourite.

And Ryan Tubridy just revealed Barry was one of his favourite interviews on the Late Late Show this year.

12. Katie Taylor

It’s been one hell of a year for Dublin fighter Katie Taylor.

Not only did 2018 see the launch of her documentary movie Katie, but she also defended her world titles.

Fighting in Madison Square Garden for the first time, the Dubliner beat Eva Wahlstrom in a stunning victory.

Katie proved once again that she is the best of the best in her field.

13. Saoirse Ronan

Saoirse Ronan kicked off 2018 with an Oscar nomination for her role in hit movie Lady Bird.

The Carlow native is no stranger to the Oscars red carpet, with this being her third Oscar nomination.

The star won Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical at the Golden Globes last January, and always wins the red carpet with her style.

She also teamed up with Calvin Klein for her first fragrance campaign and starred in critically acclaimed flick Mary Queen of Scotts, alongside Margot Robbie.

This year also saw Saoirse buy a mansion in Wicklow, very close to her good friend Hozier.

14. Domhnall Gleeson

The sky is definitely the limit when it comes to Domhnall Gleeson’s career – and 2018 was another amazing year for the actor.

The son of Brendan Gleeson is currently filming his role as General Hux for Star Wars: Episode IX, and starred in smash hit comedy Peter Rabbit this year.

He’s just been cast in a new HBO series called Run, and after already working alongside the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie, we’ve n o doubt 2019 will be another huge year for the actor.

15. U2

VIP Ireland

2018 was a huge year for U2, as they finally came back to Ireland for their Experience + Innocence tour.

Bono and co played the 3Arena in sell-out gigs, as well as touring all around the world.

The band were spotted having a lavish after party in Dublin venue Residence afterwards (in true U2 style).

And of course Bono was back busking on the streets of Dublin for the homeless on Christmas Eve.

16. Amy Huberman

2018 was a huge year for author and actress Amy Huberman.

Not only did she become a hit with viewers thanks to her role on Striking Out, but Amy also launched her own show in 2018.

Originally meant to be a film called Bolt, Amy teamed up with RTE to release her debut series Joy.

Starring comedian Aisling Bea and Laura Whitmore, the series was a hit with views on TV and on the player.

RTE have already confirmed they are in talks for season 2, while the show has already been released in the US.

Amy also released a new range with Newbridge Silverware and moved into a new home with husband Brian O’Driscoll.

17. Holly Carpenter

Former Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter has had a huge year, thanks to her growing business Love Life – and a new TV role.

In December Holly was announced as one of the new contestants on RTE’s Dancing With The Stars, which will bring Holly into the limelight even more.

As well as learning new dance moves this year Holly teamed up with huge brands on her social media channels and saw her business go from strength to strength.

Originally starting out as a jewellery company, Love Lift now sells dressing gowns, travel coffee mugs and bags.

18. Louise Cooney

Limerick native Louise Cooney has definitely moved from a well-known blogger to become one of Ireland’s leading influencers in 2018.

After leaving her job at the Irish Tourism Board to follow her dream of blogging full time, Louise has become one of the most in-demand influencers in the country.

This has been a huge year for Louise, not only was she flown to Paris for a stunning Armani photoshoot, but she also became a brand ambassador for Victoria’s Secret.

The blonde documented all of her biggest moments through her Instagram stories and her vlog.

She did the perfect photobomb in a Kris Jenner photo too, and let’s be honest that’s a huge achievement too.

19. Rosie Connolly

This has been a huge year for influencer Rosie Connolly.

You know you’ve truly made it when you land a magazine cover and Rosie achieved that goal thanks to her dream wedding to longtime love Paul Quinn.

Not only was she in multiple magazine spreads this year, she also worked with some huge brands and announced she’s expecting a baby girl in 2019.

20. Blindboy Boatclub

2018 is definitely the year of Blindboy Boatclub, thanks to his hugely popular podcast series.

Blindboy’s podcast is top of the charts every single week in Ireland, and has gained over thousands of five stars reviews on iTunes.

The Rubberbandits star has over 4,000 paying subscribers for his podcast on Patreon and also did an amazing podcast with Russell Brand in December on the actor’s channel.

21. Hozier

2018 was the year that Wicklow crooner Hozier finally made his comeback.

The singer made his highly anticipated return with stunning tune Nina Cried Power, which Barrack Obama just revealed was one of his favourite songs of the entire year.

As well as a surprise appearance at Electric Picnic, Hozier went on a sold-out Irish and UK tour with more dates in summer 2019.

22. Niall Horan

2018 was a very important year for Niall Horan, as he finally released his debut solo album.

The Mullingar man’s first record Flicker was a huge hit all around the world, fully establishing Niall as a successful solo artist.

He also hit the headlines this year for his love life, the former X Factor star hooked up with singer Hailee Steinfield this year, but we just recently confirmed the pair have now split.

23.Roz Purcell

It’s been another hugely successful year to model turned foodie Roz Purcell.

After releasing her best-selling book Natural Born Feeder, Roz came out with book number two and started writing her third cookbook.

As well as landing a lucrative deal with Reebok, Roz has been praised this year for her body positive posts on Instagram.

With even more focus on food and fitness next year, 2019 is set to be another huge model for the Tipperary star.

24. Nicky Byrne

2018 was a huge year for Nicky Byrne, not only did he host another season of Dancing With The Stars on RTE, but he renewed his contract with 2FM AND reunited with Westlife.

Nicky has arguably had the most successful post-Westlife career out of all of the lads, and each year he continues to land bigger and better roles.

And of course, he started off his year winning Best TV Presenter at the Gossies.

25. Lucy Kennedy

She started off the year winning Best Female TV Presenter at the Gossies 2018, and returned to TV3 with a bang.

Not only is she the host of top entertainment series Ireland’s Got Talent, and this season of Living With Lucy may have been her best yet.

This year Lucy lived with Ivan Yates, Nathan Carter, Nadine Coyle and the one and only Gemma Collins.

26. Anna Daly

Ireland’s answer to Holly Willoughby, Anna Daly has had another terrific year.

Not only is she still the anchor on Virgin’s Weekend AM, but Anna has also launched her own platform this year with annadaly.com.

The TV presenter has become a style guru, with her #OOTD posts always a must-see on Instagram.

From magazine covers to brand campaigns, Anna was definitely one of the biggest stars of 2018.

27. Una Healy

This has been a year of highs and lows for singer Una Healy.

The Tipperary star launched her debut shoe collection and continued with her solo career but all was not well with her personal life.

Una sadly split from rugby star Ben Foden, after she confronted him on claims he cheated on her.

But the mum-of-two ended the year on a high when she revealed her new boyfriend, former Limerick hurler David Breen.

28. Aoibhin Garrihy

2018 has been such a huge year for Aoibhin Garrihy.

The actress moved from the small screen to the stage as she continued touring with her wellness event Beo.

MC’d by her sister Doireann and held all over the country, the event has continued to be a huge hit nationwide.

She started off the year winning Most Stylish Lady at the Gossies 2018, and has continued to kill it in the style stakes.

This year Aoibhin also welcomed her first child, baby Hanorah.

29. Jennifer Zamparelli

It’s been a big year for Jen Zamparelli, as she’s been announced as the new co-host for Dancing With The Stars.

The 2FM presenter is replacing Amanda Byram on the top entertainment show, joining Nicky Byrne at the forefront.

Jen also gave birth to her second child, son Enzo, in 2018 and took a well-deserved break from 2FM before returning with a bang to Breakfast Republic.

She also launched her own show on the RTE Player called Jen’s Weekend.

30. Cillian Murphy

Cillian Murphy is continuing to climb the ladder in Hollywood, but this year was all about TV.

The Cork star has gained a whole new fan base thanks to his role in Peaky Blinders.

This year saw the Irish star film the next season of the award-winning series, and people cannot wait to see what Tommy Shelby will be up to next.

31. Thalia Heffernan

2018 has definitely been a major year for Thalia Heffernan – both personally and professionally.

The Dancing With The Stars alumni kicked off the year winning Model of the Year at the Gossies 2018, and moved to the UK with her boyfriend Ryan McShane shortly after.

Not only has Thalia been in the top magazines and newspapers this year, she just launched her very own range with fashion brand Diesel – a huge achievement.

32. Rob Lipsett

This has been another huge year for fitness influencer Rob Lipsett.

The gym buff and business owner released his debut book The Game Plan, which is focused on getting fit and staying in shape.

The Dublin star has continued to vlog on Youtube as well as produce videos for his Instagram page, which now boasts 485k followers.

33. Andrew Fitzsimons

Irish hair stylist Andrew Fitzsimons has really hit the big time – and he has been everywhere in 2018.

The Dublin star is now the main hairstylist for the Kardashian-Jenner clan, working primarily with Kylie and Kris Jenner, Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe Kardashian.

2019 is set to be a huge year for the stylist, as he’s kicking off his very own masterclass, which will no doubt be a huge success.

34. Don O’Neill

2018 is definitely one of the biggest years for Irish fashion designer Don O’Neill.

Kerry native Don is based in New York where he has his THEIA studio, and has dressed some huge stars, but this year he was featured all over the world when he dressed Meghan Markle.

The Duchess of Sussex wore his stunning white gown while on tour in Australia with husband Prince Harry, and it was dubbed a favourite by many fashion critics.

35. Lisa Jordan

Now one of Ireland’s most in-demand influencers, Lisa Jordan has had one of her best years.

Boasting over 154k followers on her Instagram page, this year saw Lisa team up with brands like Visa, as well as promoting her own beauty business Luna by Lisa and Luna Haircare.

This year she also announced that she is expecting her second child, so no doubt 2019 will be another year filled with stunning content.

36. Grace Mongey

This was an incredible year for Grace Mongey, who documented the move into her new ho4me on all of her social media channels.

The mum-of-one started her own interiors page off the back of the move and also got engaged to her longtime love Chris.

Just months later Grace announced that the pair are expecting their second child, giving daughter Sienna a little brother or sister in 2019.

37. Aoife Walsh

2018 proved to be a hugely important year for former Miss Ireland and top model Aoife Walsh.

As well as starring in her first TV advert, the Tipperary star got engaged to her long time love, just before Christmas.

The blogger shared the special moment in Paris on her Instagram account, so 2019 will all be a big countdown to the wedding.

Aoife continues to model in both Ireland and New York, as well as working on her blog thatgingerchick.

38. Erika Fox

2018 was another incredible year for New York based blogger Erika Fox (aka Retro Flame).

The Kerry native teamed up with some huge brands this year both in the US and Ireland.

She also became one of the one bloggers in the world to be featured in the debut book from RewardStyle, which featured some of the biggest influencers all over the world.

39. White Moose Cafe

They started off the year by winning Best Social Media star at the Gossies 2018, and it’s without a doubt that Jason Kidd and Paul Stenson aren’t going anywhere soon.

Love them or hate them everyone was following the White Moose Cafe’s Snapchat and Instagram this year.

The pair are no strangers to social media controversies and this year started their masterclass series Outrage Marketing – which focuses on all the tricks and tips to marketing your business on social media.

40. Tony McGregor

Definitely, the most viral Irish star of the year has to be Tony McGregor.

2018 was the year the term ‘coinage’ changed in our minds forever, all thanks to his Instagram video giving out about a DART machine giving him back too many coins after he paid for a ticket with a “crisp €20 note”.

The video certainly set Tony on a separate journey to stardom from his own family and landed him a lucrative campaign with Lucozade, where he handed out their new drink at the DART station – now that’s PR 101.

41. Stephen Byrne

This was a huge year for TV presenter and radio host Stephen Byrne.

Not only did he return to the Oscars for his 2FM show, he also returned to school to re-sit the Leaving Cert.

RTE documentary Leaving Again won rave reviews with critics and all while he was studying he managed to do some huge interviews; including sitting down with Oprah, Lady Gaga, and Margot Robbie.

42. Rob Kenny

Top influencer Rob Kenny has had another big year.

The PR guru and fashionista teamed up with some huge brands this year including Visa, and Zalando.

Rob also landed a new weekly segment with FM10 on their Sunday show The Juice.

43. Niamh Cullen

2018 has definitely been a big year for Niamh Cullen.

The influencer definitely saw her following grow massively this year, with now over 102k followers.

This year saw Niamh team up with the likes of Penneys and Pretty Little Thing, with her following growing as fast as it did this year, we’re expecting another amazing year in 2019.

44. Michelle Regazolli

It’s been a year of ups and downs for Michelle Regazolli.

She started off the year by winning Celebrity Makeup Artist of the year at the Gossies 2018, and also nabbed the Xpose Award for the same.

Michelle hit the news just before Christmas after she revealed she had lost a huge deposit on her dream kitchen for her new home, even appearing on the Joe Duffy Show.

Thankfully another company stepped in to help Michelle realise her interiors dream and she continues to share the building of MRS Manor on her Instagram page.

45. Terrie McEvoy

2018 was a huge year for influencer Terrie McEvoy.

She started off the year winning Blogger of the Year at The Gossies 2018, as her following online continued to soar.

The cherry on top was when longtime beau David Fitzpatrick popped the question.

The Dubliner showed off her stunning engagement ring and the moment the love of her life asked her to marry her in an array of stunning Instagram posts.

Terrie has continued to partner with huge brands, and we’ve no doubt 2019 will be another huge year for her.

2019 looks set to be a great year for the blogger, with a wedding to plan, and lots of travels.

46. Lauren Arthurs

2018 was a huge year both professionally and personally for Lauren Arthurs.

The Cork native made the huge decision to move to Amsterdam with her longtime love John, but her career continued to soar back home.

This year saw Lauren team up with huge fashion brands like Carraig Donn and Primark – including a stunning press trip to Disneyland cruise which brought her to a secret island.

47. Lisa McGowan

It’s been another fantastic year for Lisa McGowan.

She started off the year winning Influencer of the Year at the Gossies and continued to grow a major following on her social media pages.

This year Lisa became a brand ambassador for Dibi Milano and her Facebook page now stands at an amazing 191k likes.

48. Glenda Gilson

2018 was an incredible year for Glenda Gilson, both personally and professionally.

Not only did Glenda land the role as co-host for Ireland’s Got Talent’s after show, she also welcomed her first child with husband Rob McNaughton.

Glenda also continued to grow her jewellery line G by Glenda.

49. Daithi O’Se

Another stellar year for RTE host Daithi O’Se.

Daithi continued as co-host of the Today Show alongside Maura Derrane and was back again to host the Rose of Tralee.

The TV star also proved he is as stylish as ever, when he sported this white suit to the Gossies 2018.

50. Cassie Stokes

This was another successful year for Xpose host Cassie Stokes.

Not only did Cassie continue to anchor the top entertainment show, she also teamed up with top brands on her own Instagram channel, including Three Ireland.

The blonde has interviewed some serious stars this year including Emily Blunt and Taylor Swift.

51. Blathnaid Treacy

TV presenter Blathnaid Treacy has had a seriously good year.

The Bray native has already been hosting the Dancing With The Stars spin off show Can’t Stop Dancing, and this year also saw her join the team on Xpose, marking the first time a TV host has worked for both stations at the same time.

This is also the year Blathnaid got engaged after her long time love popped the question during a romantic trip to Mexico.

52. Rosanna Davison

Rosanna Davison has always been one of Ireland’s biggest stars, and 2018 has been another amazing year for her.

The former Miss World has been busy completing her masters degree, but still found time to attend some of the biggest events.

She also helped husband Wes Quirke launch his new Dublin based business Carlton Casin Club.

53. Aimee Connolly

2018 has been a huge year for makeup artist turned business woman Aimee Connolly.

The Dublin based star launched the perfect highlighter palette Sculpted By Aimee this year and it has been a huge success.

With a following of over 76k on her Instagram, Aimee continues to grow as an influencer as well.

54. Tara O’Farrell

2018 has been truly a magical year for Tara O’Farrell.

Colin Farrell has been laying low for most of 2018, but made his return to the spotlight on the Late Late Show to promote fundraising for Epidermolysis bullosa (EB).

The actor won serious praise for his moving talk on the show, where he asked all viewers to donate much-needed funds to the charity Debra.

He entered rehab at the start of the new year but is making his acting comeback in 2019, after just being cast in Guy Ritchie’s new flick Toff Guys, where he will be stepping into the world of MMA.

56. Snow Patrol

2018 marked the year of Snow Patrol’s big comeback, and it went down a smash hit.

Returning with an album for the first time in ten years, the Derry band also returned to the Irish stage.

The guys gave a killer performance at their sold out 3 Arena gig in December.

57. Westlife

It’s without a doubt that 2018 was the year of Reunions, from Boyzone to Spice Girls – but Westlife’s reunion announcement was the one that really blew up worldwide.

After months of rumours that the band were coming back together, Nicky, Shane, Kian and Mark finally confirmed the news in a special press conference.

The guys announced a reunion tour and new music, so 2019 is going to be incredible for Westlife fans.

58. Keilidh Cashell

A newbie to our list this year is top Irish makeup artist Keilidh Cashell.

She literally exploded on to the scene this year, from teaming up with Inglot and jetting to Vegas for the JLO Collection launch, to working with MAC Cosmetics.

But her biggest triumph to date was launching her very own palette with Suzanne Jackson.

The pair dropped three new makeup products, all of which flew off the shelves. We’re hoping to see more from these two in 2019.

59. Shauna Lindsay

Top model Shauna Lindsay has had another fantastic year.

The Limerick beauty has become one of Ireland’s top influencers, working with huge brands this year like Suzanne Jackson’s Dripping Gold and Penneys.

From sharing fitness videos to her exotic travels, Shauna is now sharing to an audience of over 62k.

60. Enya Martin

One of the biggest Irish stars killing it on the Irish circuit is Enya Martin aka Giz A Laugh.

The Dublin native has continued to go viral with her hilarious videos on Instagram and Facebook.

Plus this year Enya continued to do stand up comedy, with sell-out dates in Vicar Street.

61. Aideen Murphy

Aideen Murphy has seen her online following soar this year,

Now boasting over 96k followers, the makeup artist has become a must-follow.

Top Irish model Louise O’Reilly has had another incredible year.

The blonde beauty is one of Europe’s leading plus-size models and has been all over the world this year including attending New York Fashion Week, to work with top designer brands.

Her blog Style Me Curvy is a huge following and her Instagram is now at a cool 85k followers.

63. January Winters

Top model January Winters really came into her own this year.

The Dubliner has become one of the most in-demand DJs in the industry now and has DJ’s at some seriously cool events this year, as well as spinning the decks at new Dublin hotspot The Ivy.

The redhead has also started to move into TV presenting, so we’re expecting big things for 2019.

64. Lynn Kelly

Dublin model Lynn Kelly has seen her following grow rapidly in 2018.

The former Miss Universe has become one of the top influencers in Ireland this year, thanks to her stunning Instagram.

Lynn is also one of the busiest models in the industry, working with fashion houses all year round.

Kelly Horrigan is officially one of the most in-demand models in the Irish industry right now.

The brunette has worked on some jobs this year, including working with Charlotte Tilbury and Brown Thomas.

The TV host genuinely outdid himself this year both on the Late Late Show and of course, the Late Late Toy Show.

From an entertaining interview with Leo Varadkar, to the way he worked with this year’s children on the Toy Show, Tubs is still a favourite in Goss HQ.

Plus he deserves a serious round of applause for how he dealt with that Shane Lynch awkward moment during his interview with Boyzone.

The woman behind Inglot Ireland expanded more stores into the UK and continued to grow her own following on social media.

A leader in the Irish beauty industry, we know this girl boss will have another amazing year in 2019.

68. Darren Kennedy

Writer, stylist and fashion designer Darren Kennedy had an incredible year in 2018.

Not only did the Dubliner finally release his own skin care brand, he was also announced as one of the new contestants for RTE’s Dancing With The Stars.

Darren is normally jetting all over the world for work, but we’re looking forward to seeing him in Ireland as he fights for the DWTS trophy this season.

69. Julian Benson

Dancing With The Stars judge Julian Benson had the most incredible year.

For the first time the top Dublin talent agent revealed he has had CF all his life, and had kept it secret from most of his friends.

Julian revealed the news in a moving interview on the Late Late Show, and then announced the launch of The Julian Benson CF Foundation.

He ended the year on a high with his first Julain Benson CF ball – which raised huge funds for his new foundation.

70. Boyzone

The boys sent fans into a frenzy when they confirmed they would be returning to celebrate their 25th anniversary in style.

This has been an epic year for Irish band Chasing Abbey.

The Talk To Me singers have grown a huge fan base this year, and performed at some amazing gigs.

The Offaly band also announced an Irish tour, and we’re expecting huge things for these guys in 2019.

72. Alan Hughes

TV presenter Alan Hughes had another great year, not only on Virgin Media, but also thanks to his sell-out panto.

Alan and partner Karl continue to produce a stunning panto each Christmas, always receiving rave reviews.

73. Brendan O’Carroll

Every year is a good year for Brendan O’Carroll, and 2018 was no different.

The Mrs Brown’s Boys creator saw out another year of huge success thanks to his comedy series.

In December the Christmas special was confirmed as the most watched show on RTE over the festive season – now that’s something to celebrate.

74. Rory Cowan

It’s been a great year for actor Rory Cowan.

In 2017 Rory spread his wings and left Mrs Brown’s Boys but has continued to stay in the spotlight.

The Dubliner has moved from the small screen to the stage this year, starring in the Olympia Theatre Christmas panto alongside James Patrice and Erin McGregor.

75. Deric Hartigan

Virgin Media presenter and Weather Man Deric Hartigan has had a fantastic 2018.

The TV star went viral in 2017 after literally being blown away on live TV, and he’s kept up his antics this year.

This has been a huge year for actress Jenny Dixon.

Although she’s focused on work she had a huge year personally too as her long time beau, TD and Tom Neville proposed.

It’s been a great year both personally and professionally for Anna Geary.

The GAA Star turned TV personality waltzed onto our screens in RTE’s Dancing With The Stars at the start of the year, and continued in the spotlight in glamorous magazine shoots.

Just before the end of the year, Anna announced her engagement to her long time love Kevin Sexton.

78. Mark Rogers

2018 was a big year for beauty influencer and PR guru Mark Rogers.

After making the move to Flormar cosmetics, Mark returned to Benefit Ireland and brought back the pazazz.

Mark has also grown a huge following on his own channels, boasting over 26k on his Instagram and has been working with multiple brands this year in MCing and hosting gigs.

79. Clementine MacNiece

Top fashion stylist Clementine MacNiece has had another incredible year.

One of the go-to stylists for Irish celebrities, Clem has worked with some huge names this year. And she kicked off 2018 by winning Celebrity Stylist of the Year at the Gossies.

She is also returning as the head stylist for RTE show Dancing With The Stars.

80. Laura Mullett

Wexford native Laura Mullett has continued to be one of the most in-demand fashion stylists.

Already working on Ireland’s Got Talent, Laura also privately styles big names in the industry.

She’s also becoming an influencer in her own right, working with brands this year like Snickers.

81. Ellie Kelly


New to our list this year is influencer Elliee Kelly.

Not only does she boast a huge following of 169k, she has also been working with huge brands all year round.

Just before the end of 2018 she launched her own range with huge UK fashion company MissPap.

82. Triona McCarthy

It’s been another great year for beauty columnist and fashionista Triona McCarthy.

The busy mum has gained a huge following on her social media channels, after competing in Celebrity Operation Transformation last year.

This year Triona worked with some huge brands, including TK Maxx, with a following of over 46k.

83. Brendan Courtney and Sonya Lennon

We’re putting this pair together because of the success of their fashion range Lennon Courtney.

The duo continues to dominate the fashion industry, with their line still a best seller in Dunne Stores.

But also Brendan received huge praise for his RTE series This Crowded House.

84. Murieann O’Connell

It’s been a huge year for TV presenter and radio host Muireann O’Connell.

The Limerick host not only became a permanent fixture on the Six O’Clock Show as co-host but she also landed her own lunchtime show on Today FM.

Taking over from Al Porter, Muireann proved she is one of the biggest rising stars in the media industry.

85. Laura Whitmore

2018 was a big year for Laura Whitmore.

Not only did she firmly cement herself as an actress, landing a starring role in Amy Huberman’s series Joy, but she also landed her own show on BBC radio.

It’s also been a great year for Laura personally, as she moved in with her beau Iain Sterling.

86. Ailbhe Garrihy

Sister to Aoibhin and Doireann, Ailbhe Garrihy definitely came into her own this year.

After being nominated for Best Newcomer at the Gossies, Ailbhe won Most Stylish Newcomer at the VIP Style Awards.

The PR guru also had a very successful personal year, she got engaged at the end of 2017 and has been planning her special nuptials all year.

87. Paddy Smyth

It’s been a huge year for influencer Paddy Smyth.

The Snapchat and Instagram star has gained a huge following thanks to his ‘My Disabled Life’ motto – where he documents how living with a disability can still mean a fun and sexy life.

The First Dates star also landed the hosting gig for a new RTE fashion show launching in 2019.

 

88. Jen Morris

Social media guru and top makeup artist Jen Morris aka TooDolly Makeup has seen her audience grow hugely this year.

With over 27k followers now on Instagram, Jen has teamed up with huge brands this year, including Boots and Easilocks.

89. Jade Mullett

Top Wexford MUA Jade Mullett is continuing to kill it in the Irish beauty industry.

In 2018 alone she worked with IsaDora and SoSu by SJ.

She shares stunning looks on her Instagram page, which now boasts 27k followers.

90. Martin Guilfoyle

Radio presenter Martin Guilfoyle had a huge year in 2018.

His SPIN 1038 show with Doireann Garrihy not only one the Gossie for the Best Radio Show but also won an IMRO Radio Award.

Martin has become an influencer in his own right with over 50k followers on Instagram alone.

Plus he’s been releasing his own music and already landing in the charts.

91. Dermot Bannon

It’s without a doubt that Room To Improve was one of the nation’s guilty pleasures this year.

From working with Daniel and Majella O’Donnell to Dermot’s general charisma, it’s definitely been one of the most watched shows on RTE this year.

Lucy Kennedy keeps saying she would love to move in with him on Living With Lucy – so we’re hoping for that in 2019.

92. Louise O’Neill

Louise O’Neill is without a doubt one of the most important voices of our generation and this year saw her best-selling book Asking For It become a stage production.

There have been nothing but rave reviews for the play all year and cements the importance of Louise’s novel.

This year Louise also release The Surfaced Breaks – a dark reimaging of the Little Mermaid set in Ireland.

93. Bernard Brogan

2018 was probably Bernard Brogan’s biggest year to date – because he became a dad for the first time.

After a year of being married to wife Keira Doyle, the loved-up pair announced they were expecting.

Bernard revealed in July that the couple had welcomed twins Donagh and Keadán Brogan, and they’ve already made an appearance on the pitch.

The GAA star also teamed up with Littlewoods Ireland to bring out his own clothing range.

94. Johnny Ward

He was loved in Love/Hate and played the ultimate villain in Fair City, but this year saw Johnny Ward move into the world of musicals.

Starring as the lead character in Coppers The Musical, Johnny proved himself a talented singer and dancer – and that’s about to come in handy.

Before the end of 2018, Johnny was announced as one of the contestants on. the new series of RTE’s Dancing With The Stars.

95. Kodaline

It’s been a fantastic year for Irish music, and another brilliant here specifically for Kodaline.

The Dublin band returned to Dublin in 2018 for a sell-out gig in Malahide Castle, one of the best gigs of the whole summer.

They also released their new album Politics of Living and did some very intimate gigs – including a special live performance in 2FM’s studios.

96. Michaela O’Shaughnessy

Galway girl Michaela is another bright star flying the Irish flag abroad.

Based in New York, Michaela is the Social Media Manager for Teen Vogue, and also runs her own blog Life of a Lady Bear.

2018 saw the brunette attend the MET Ball (once again) and has been partnering with some big brands on her own Instagram channel too.

Michaela ended the year on a high, getting engaged to her long time beau when she jetted back to Ireland for Christmas.

 

97. Gavin James

It’s been another amazing year for Gavin James – who continues to play sell out gigs.

The Bitter Pill singer played the Olympia, the FM104 gig and Trinity College among other gigs, and headlined the New Year’s Eve concert in Dublin to countdown to  2019.

 

98. Sarah Godfrey

Youtube star Sarah Godfrey is slowly turning her influencing career into a full time business.

The Instagram star announced just before the end of the year that she is launching a new business called Sarah Godfrey Fitness.

The new venture will include fitness and nutrition guides, which we’re expecting to be literally eaten up by her 136k Instagram followers.

99. Victoria Smurfit

Irish actress Victoria Smurfit is continuing to rise in Hollywood.

After starring in Once Upon A Time, this year Victoria wrote a new TV series based in the North.

Victoria also recieved huge praise for her daughter Evie, who appeared on the Late Late Show to discuss her degenerative eye disease.

This year the actress also confirmed a new romance with beau Lance Uggla, whom she said made her feel like a “giddy teenager”.

 

100. The Kehoe Sisters

Last but certainly not least are the Kehoe sisters; Ashley, Claudine and Emma.

We’ve put these three influencers together, as although they’ve achieved a lot in their own right this year, they came together for an Easilocks campaign which they fronted together.

The trio were also described as the ‘Irish Kardashians’ by the Sunday Independent this year, and Emma launched her own range with Dresses.ie.
