The Spice Girls thank Irish fans for their support in Dublin

The Spice Girls have taken to Instagram to thank their Irish fans.

The foursome kicked off their world tour with an epic Croke Park gig last night, in front of 80,000 fans.

The girls then took to the social media site to pay homage to their Irish support.

“Dublin, thank you SO much for a brilliant first night on the #SpiceWorld2019 tour,” they captioned a stunning picture from the show, captured by photographer Andrew Timms.

In the picture, the girls can be seen in their themed costumes as they opened the show.

Mel B can be seen in a leopard print, bedazzled catsuit, Emma dons a pink waterfall dress, Geri stuns in a medieval style gown which pays homage to her iconic Union Jack dress, while Mel C rocks a blue ponytail.

The women opened their comeback show with a high energy rendition of Spice Up Your Life.

During the concert, they covered hits such as 2 Become 1, Wannabe and Mama.
