Terrie McEvoy has revealed how late family members were included in her wedding to David Fitzpatrick.
The couple tied the knot in Portugal last Friday, and were surrounded by a host of family and friends for the two-day occasion.
But sadly, Terrie and David were missing some important family members on their big day – including David’s beloved mother Tina.
Back in March 2018, the couple jetted back from their adopted home of Australia to be with his mum before she sadly passed away in April.
About one month later, David proposed to Terrie on a special beach in Portugal – which his mum particularly loved.
And last Friday, the pair married on the Lady of the Rock near Albufeira so that “David’s mam could see” – and they had a special seat waiting for her.
Taking to Instagram, Terrie shared a photo of a chair in the front row at their wedding, which had a sign on it that read: “We know you would be here today if Heaven wasn’t so far away.”
Terrie also shared another photo of a second seat reserved for late family members, which held a sign that read:Â “Reserved for those who are celebrating with us from Heaven.”
