Suzanne Jackson has revealed she was so broke before her blog became a success, that she couldn’t even afford to put petrol in her car.
The blogger turned business woman now runs her hugely successful SoSu beauty company, but admitted things haven’t all been easy.
Speaking to Georgie Crawford on her podcast The Good Glow, Suzanne said she made a decision to make her life better after being made redundant in 2009 and going through a bad breakup.
“I don’t ever want to feel this way about myself again,” she said of her thoughts at the time.
“I couldn’t afford petrol for my car, I was so low in myself after coming out of a bad relationship. I didn’t know where I was in my career. I wanted to feel better for myself.
“I never wanted to stop until you get the things you secretly tell yourself you want. Like a good husband, a nice house. I know they sound like really materialistic but those are the things I looked at that I wanted back then,” she revealed.
Suzanne also admitted that her husband Dylan os her real driving force.
“Having met Dylan and the relationship we have, has driven me more than ever,” she saiid.
“He’s just my backbone in everything I do. He’s the one that keeps me motivated if I tell you the truth, I know it sounds cheesy.
“He’s the one when I’m down…he’s like ‘You gotta keep going, think of the positives.”
Sue also teased a new project coming soon, which she said was Dylan’s idea.
It comes after Suzanne told Goss.ie that she is set to collaborate with a huge celebrity.
