Stephanie Davis is “extremely upset” that her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell was allowed walk free from jail this morning, after serving just 34 days behind bars.

Back in August, Jeremy was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to complete 200 hours of community service for assaulting the mother of his child, Stephanie, as she held their baby son, Caben Albi.

But, after Jeremy missed eight work appointments, a judge sent him to jail for eighteen weeks – however, a successful appeal has seen him walk free today.

A source told The Sun, “Steph had to watch Jeremy walk free the first time round and now he’s been let out early, it’s like he’s got off scot-free all over again.”

“She’s extremely upset at the decision. People are rallying around her as best they can.

“Steph walked away from the public eye to get herself back on her feet and she’s been doing really well. Today’s news has knocked the wind out of her sails and she’s not happy,” they added.

The Dubliner has been released with an electronic tag, and will be required to adhere to a curfew.

Jeremy’s friends spoke out following his release, telling The Sun, “Jez was so excited to walk around as a free man. He kept his spirits up in prison and now he’s out it’s a fresh start for him.”

“Jez told us prison food was s**t and was in great form, laughing and joking with us. All of his mates are pleased he’s going to be out of New Year after spending Christmas inside.”
