Spencer Matthews has admitted that he forgot to do something crucial when he proposed to Vogue Williams.

The former Made In Chelsea star proposed to Vogue live on stage in London after a performance of the Lion King, and thankfully – she said yes.

However, Spencer has since revealed that after he asked Vogue to marry him, he forgot to put the ring on her finger.

“I asked Vogue to be my wife then closed the box and stood up, forgetting to put the ring on her finger,” he told the Mail on Sunday.

In a statement after they got engaged, Spencer said, “I’ve known Vogue was the one for a long time. We’re very happy and in love. She’s my best friend and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”

“The engagement had to be special, and as our first trip away together was to Disneyland Paris, it felt like the perfect fit.”

“The Lion King is also one of the greatest stories of all time, so I figured that having just had a romantic evening watching it, she’d probably say yes!”

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Spencer and Vogue said, “The couple are absolutely over the moon and thrilled to share their exciting news.”

The happy couple watched the show at London’s Lyceum theatre, before going on behind the scenes tour of the theatre. The tour then brought them to the stage, where Spencer got down on one knee to propose to Vogue.

Spencer and Vogue have been dating ever since meeting on Channel 4’s The Jump at the end of 2016.
