Sky Sports presenter Rachel Wyse address those sexist remarks

Sky Sports presenter Rachel Wyse has spoken out about sexism in the sporting world against female broadcasters.

The blonde beauty is the anchor for Sky GAA which sees her in Dublin every weekend during the football and hurling season.

“I always get criticism from some camp, because there’s no way everyone is going to love you. But I take constructive criticism on board and hopefully that will spur me on to improve,” she said.

Sky GAA bought the rights to airing certain GAA matches and last year when Rachel was announced to front the games, she was met with criticism.

“Last year, there were certainly plenty of people going to Sky about a female fronting the coverage,” she explained.

The 30-year-old Dubliner didn’t let the comments deter her from the job at hand and revealed that she received support from so many people but the main task at the end of the day is to acknowledge the players on the pitch.

“There was so much encouragement and lovely support from so many people who just want towatch GAA. It’s not about me, it’s about showcasing these wonderful players,

“Hopefully we’ve got past that and that discussion as to who is hosting it. Now we can focus on the players, they’re the stars,” she told Independent Style.

The former model is currently in Ireland launching the new Make My Magnum Experience at Arnotts.
