Síle Seoige has revealed the secret behind her long, happy relationship with fiancé Damien O’Farrell.
The pair got engaged in April 2018, and are parents to a son named Cathal.
Speaking to RSVP Magazine, Síle opened up about her relationship with Damien, who works as a Garda.
“It’s not always easy, you can put your relationship second so you have to prioritise that too,” she said.
“As long as you’re aware of it, I think that’s half the battle. Little tweaks here and there and trying to take little pockets of quality time is so important and putting the phone down is a huge part of that,” she explained, revealing how she keeps their relationship a happy one.
“If you’re constantly on your phone and doing Instagram posts are you really present? I don’t think you are.”
Although the pair have been engaged for almost two years, the TV star said they have no plans to tie the knot in the near future.
“We’re happy out, we’re engaged and we’re very content. I don’t feel any great desire to get married right now, that may change but I can’t see it happening any time soon.”
“You know the way some people are buying bridal magazines or looking at wedding websites even if they haven’t set a date? I’m not.”
Síle is enjoying being engaged to her fiancé, and spending time as a family with their son.
“I’m just not there. Our priority is the three of us and just enjoying it right now,” she added.
