Sarah McTernan thanks ‘support from home’ ahead of Eurovision 2019

This year’s Irish entry for the Eurovision Sarah McTernan has credited the support she receives from her family and home country as a key element that gets her through the competition.

Sarah is currently in Tel Aviv rehearsing for the contest.

“It’s been phenomenal, the support from home, people from my school, my hometown and from Ennis, everyone messaging and saying `keep doing what you’re doing and we’re all behind you” she told RTE.

“So it’s really nice to have that support.”

The singer, from County Clare, is back on her feet and rehearsing for the song contest following a dental issue which required urgent medical attention.

The 25-year old had an issue with her wisdom teeth, but after some rest, she was able to continue with the rehearsals.
