Sarah Jessica Parker reveals she could see herself settling down in Ireland: 'It feels like home'

Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick have admitted that whenever they come to Ireland it “feels a bit like home”.

The famous couple regularly take summer trips to Donegal and revealed they could see themselves settling down there permanently.

“It always feels like it’s a place that is perhaps foolishly more private to us, and there’s a simplicity to the time that we spend there, and the people are so lovely,” Sarah said.

“At this point it feels a little bit like home, in some way. We would be delighted to decamp to Ireland.”

“Move the children, put them in school there, have tea every day, a proper fry. It’s just an exquisite, beautiful, relaxing, wonderful place for ourselves and for our children.”

Matthew’s family comes from Donegal and the actor regularly spent summers there as a child and said the pair will probably be returning this summer.

“We will probably go this summer at some point. I like tea, wanderin around, eating, our friends,” he told The Irish Independent.

“We have friends there too, that I’ve known since I was growing up, so I check in with them as they die out and get born.”

It’s not just the famous couple who love Ireland, Matthew revealed that their kids can’t wait to come back too.

“The kids seem to love it. They keep asking when can we go back. They can run around and don’t have to be watched so much.”
