Saoirse Ronan has opened up about the pressure of being nominated for an Oscar this year.
The actress has been nominated for Best Actress twice and Best Supporting Actress once over the past ten years, and following the recent release of Mary Queen of Scots, she has opened up about this year’s awards.
The 24-year-old chatted to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning and admitted that she feels less pressure this year, as she has gone through it all before.
“I think having been lucky enough to have gone through it in the last few years, I do feel less pressure now,” she told the presenters.
“Because I feel like, what I’ve got so far is lovely and I’m quite happy with that, so anything else on top of that is lovely.”
Saoirse even admitted that she didn’t know when the Oscars nominations were being announced and jokingly thanked Phillip for letting her know that they will be on Tuesday 22nd January.
