Ryan Tubridy has insisted he won’t be getting engaged to long-term girlfriend Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain this Christmas.
But asked if he was going to be getting engaged over the holidays, Tubridy told Goss.ie: “No. I’m going to relax and enjoy myself and chill out.”

However Tubridy, who has been married once before, plans to keep his good news solely focussed on his radio show.
He is thrilled that the morning show has gone up by 17,000 listeners, admitting: “It took us four years for us to find a groove and we’re hitting it.”
He added: “And we’re having the most enjoyable – and dare I say it most successful – and that’s feeling good. And it’s about trying to get it right and I think we’re coming to close to it. It’s not perfect but we’re getting there.”

But Tubridy hit back at claims from Today FM’s Tony Fenton that 2FM is dead and gone now.
He told Goss.ie:Â “It’s not dead, it’s alive and well. I wouldn’t be getting into a spat with Tony, I respect him too much.”
Tubridy added that he would “appreciate where he is coming from” when Tony said he should be back at Radio 1 now.
He said: “I love Tony and I’ve always been a friend of Tony. Everyone always has an opinion of where I should be. Everyone has an opinion of what I should be doing, wearing, saying. So I appreciate where he is coming from… I rate him.”
