RTÉ spent €400,000 last year on hair, makeup and clothes for their stars.
The state broadcaster splashed €400,425 on making sure their TV talent looked the part, going up €87,498 on wardrobe, hair and makeup costs compared to last year.
According to the Irish Mirror the broadcaster spent €272,470 on just wardrobe costs in 2015, with another €127,955 on makeup and hair.

When it comes to fashion the largest amount spent on wardrobe was in Fair City.
The long-running soap has about 20 core acting cast, with RTÉ spending €64,262 on their wardrobe and €7,307 for their beauty needs.
But the biggest jump in costs comes from the Late Late Show, going up by €15,000 in 2015.
In documents obtained by the Freedom of Information Act, RTÉ confirmed they splashed €36,083 on clothes for the series that Ryan Tubridy hosts.

With hair and makeup costs for the Late Late coming to €1,611.
€2,000 was also spent on RTÉ news, with all the news shows together coming in at over €30,000 for wardrobe and €15,788 for hair and makeup.
Ray D’Arcy’s Saturday night show spent €6,371 on clothes and just €738 on makeup.
Winning Streak wardrobe costs went up by €3,000 to dress up Sinead Kennedy and Marty Whelan, with €2,500 on hair and makeup.

But costs went down d for Miriam O’Callaghan’s summertime chat show Saturday Night with Miriam last year – spending €5,974 on clothing and €1,360 on makeup – compared to its 2014 spend of €7,112 and €1,592.
And finally Prime Time’s wardrobe come to €2,482, but costs for Claire Byrne Live could not be provided.
