2FM host Lottie Ryan has admitted her dad would be “proud as punch” of his children now.
While Lottie has been working for RTE with her own weekend morning show, son Rex is an established actor with his own theatre company and sister Bonnie has released her debut single.
Gerry, who died in 2010 at the age of 53, all knew his children wanted to be in the entertainment industry.
“I think he knew we were performers, he was the one driving us to all the classes at the weekends so I can imagine he knew it was instilled in us,” Lottie told the RTE Guide.

“He definitely encouraged us to do whatever it was we wanted to but I think he knew we had all been bitten by the bug.”
Speaking about her own show, newly engaged Lottie said her dad would definitely be trying to get on her show.
“He’d be proud as punch, he’d be delighted. I’d be trying to get rid of him.”
