RTÉ Choice Music Prize Irish Album of the Year 2018 nominees revealed

The shortlist for this year’s RTÉ Choice Music Prize, Irish Album of the Year 2018, have been revealed.

The highly-anticipated shortlist showcases some of the best musicians in the country, with a range of diverse sounds to appeal to everyone’s music taste.

The nominees were announced on RTÉ 2FM’s Tracy Clifford Show by Tony Clayton-Lea, the chairman of the judging panel.

The nominees are:

Just Mustard – Wednesday (Pizza Pizza Records)
Kojaque – Deli Daydreams (Soft Boy Records)
O Emperor – Jason (Big Skin Records)

Saint Sister – Shape Of Silence (Trout Records)

To celebrate Irish music, RTÉ 2FM have been running their ‘All Irish Music All Day’ since 6am until midnight tonight.

The winning album will be announced at the RTÉ Choice Music Prize live event on 7th March in Vicar Street and it will be broadcast on RTÉ 2 shortly afterwards.

This year marks the 14th annual RTÉ Choice Music Prize with tickets available on Ticketmaster.
