Rosie Connolly left stranded after ‘terrifying’ Storm Ali flight

The blogger says passengers were "terrified" and "screaming"

Rosie Connolly has been left stranded on the runway at Liverpool Airport, after enduring a “terrifying” flight through Storm Ali.

The blogger, who is expecting her second child, was flying back from London Fashion Week when she got caught up in the frightening storm onboard a Ryanair flight.

Since last night, flights have been cancelled and forced to divert from Dublin Airport as winds continue to exceed 140km/hr.

Taking to Instagram, Rosie wrote: “Can’t tell you what a nightmare today has been… currently stranded on a plane in Liverpool after what I can only describe as the most terrifying flight of my life.”

She continued: “Our flight had two failed attempts to land in Dublin. Terrified, screaming passengers, everyone throwing up… never experienced anything like it.”

“We are now in Liverpool but unable to leave the plane due to the airport being full.”

Rosie also claimed that passengers had been on the plane for five hours, and given no food or drink.

“Promised transport off flight 3 hours ago.. still nothing. If and when we leave the flight we can’t take our bags with us as they won’t release them in Liverpool.

“Women here who need medication which is in the hold and denied access. No wonder passengers are losing the head now,” she wrote, before adding, “Hope everyone at home is safe and sound.”
