Rosanna Davison reveals surrogacy journey has been an ’emotional rollercoaster’

The former Miss World will welcome her first child this month

Rosanna Davison has revealed that her surrogacy journey has been an “emotional rollercoaster”.

The model beauty and her husband Wes Quirke will welcome their first child, a baby girl, via gestational surrogate this month.

As she prepares to become a mum,  the 35-year-old told her Instagram followers: “Today marks the beginning of week 38 of our pregnancy on our surrogacy journey which is hard to believe.”

“It’s certainly been an emotional rollercoaster of a year but dying now to meet our little lady and to hold her and see her little face.”

Rosanna also showed off her baby girl’s nursery, which includes a photo of her pet pooches.

She said: “Got the nursery done a few days ago, popped up this cute little picture of her big brothers on the wall.”

“I love coming into this room and just looking around at all the bits. Got this lovely blanket from a friend recently… Cosy rug to keep our feet warm for night feeds.”

Rosanna also recently revealed that she’s already picked her baby’s name.

Rosanna and Wes’ surrogate mother is due to give birth to their baby any day now, so the couple have been waiting patiently by the phone.

Their surrogate is also based abroad, which means Rosanna and Wes will have to fly out of the country to meet their little girl and bring her home to Ireland.

During a recent interview with the Irish Mirror, Rosanna said: “We will stay there a few weeks I think, just because she will be brand new and we have to get her emergency passport and get various papers organised as well.”

“But the nice thing is on her birth cert she is immediately ours, there is no mention of surrogacy, she’s an Irish citizen immediately so it has all worked out very well.”
